Well, so you found HH's USA site. At least it isn't
JC Whitney. You couldn't pay me to use their parts,
I don't want to modify something that is supposed to
fit my bike as shipped.
I'll continue to buy HD parts for mine. I like the
parts and support that I've obtained from Custom Chrome,
Chrome Specialties, Arlen Ness, West Coast Choppers
(from various other catalogs), Biker's Choice(Nempco),
even some used factory AMF era (68-84) ironhead
Sportster. If you want good brakes, I highly
recommend Brembo(Swedish). Look in Easyriders
magazine for the top of the line in aftermarket
parts. FXR and Sportster pieces usually only
require slight filing, if that, to work on the
Savage. However, don't go with HD pieces for the
shocks or the seat. The LS650 is way to lightweight
for the shocks, and the frame is too short for the
seats to work.

PS: Most of Highway Hawk's stuff is cloned from the
late 60'-early 70's chopper scene. I can generally
locate the original era pieces if you are interested.
My friend back home in Washington State stocks parts
from 1906 to modern for HD, Indian, British, and
even some Japanese marques.

PPS: If you want to get really out there, unit-Triumph,
as in early 60's and up, Bonneville stuff fits the
LS650 also. Lots of really wild stuff available from BCS.
